  • Hypnotherapy and psychotherapy should be seen as complementary to other medical or psychological treatments, not a replacement.

  • By booking a session, the client acknowledges and agrees that they are responsible for their own well-being during and after therapy.

Mindful Clinic – Terms and Conditions

1. Introduction

These Terms and Conditions govern your use of the Mindful Clinic website and services, including solution-focused clinical hypnotherapy and psychotherapy.  By accessing our website and booking services, you confirm your agreement to these terms.

2. Services Provided

Mindful Clinic offers therapeutic services, including solution-focused clinical hypnotherapy and psychotherapy, delivered via in-person sessions, telephone, and secure online platforms.  Services are conducted in accordance with professional guidelines and ethical standards.

While the usual number of sessions required is between 8-12, this may vary depending on individual circumstances.  Smoking cessation therapy is generally a 2-hour session and requires a non-refundable deposit (see section 6).

3. Confidentiality and Data Protection

  • All client information is stored securely and in compliance with GDPR regulations.

  • Exceptions to confidentiality apply if required by law or if there is a risk of harm to the client or others.

  • Sessions conducted online or via telephone use secure platforms, and reasonable steps are taken to protect confidentiality.

  • Clients may request access to their personal data, in line with GDPR, within 30 days.

  • Data is retained for 8 years for adult clients and, for minors, until the age of 25 or 26 if last seen at 17-18 years old.

For full GDPR compliance details, refer to our Privacy Policy.

4. Payment and Cancellation Policy

  • Payment is required 48 hours in advance of the scheduled session.

  • Cancellations made with at least 24 hours' notice will be refunded.

  • Cancellations with less than 24 hours' notice may result in the full session fee being charged.

  • If a deposit is taken (e.g., for smoking cessation therapy), this is non-refundable, even in the case of cancellation.

  • The Anxiety Reset is a fixed eight-week group programme limited to six places. As with our other capacity-limited services, payment secures your place. In line with your statutory rights under the Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013, you may cancel within 14 days of booking for a full refund. After this period, or once the programme has started (whichever is later), places are non-refundable, as your space cannot be reallocated to someone else.

5. Remote and Online Sessions

  • Clients must ensure they are in a quiet, private, and safe environment for the duration of the session.

  • A backup contact method must be provided in case of connection issues.

  • In hypnosis sessions, the Practitioner will include the following script: "If you do not hear my voice for two minutes, you will naturally and gently wake feeling refreshed."

  • By proceeding with remote sessions, the client acknowledges their understanding of these requirements.

6. Liability Disclaimer

  • The Practitioner is not liable for any decisions or actions taken by the client as a result of therapy.

  • Therapeutic outcomes depend on the client’s engagement and commitment.

  • Hypnotherapy is not a substitute for medical or psychiatric treatment.  Clients with existing medical conditions should consult their healthcare provider before booking a session.

7. Professional Boundaries

  • The Practitioner operates within their professional and ethical training.  If a client’s needs extend beyond these boundaries, a referral to an appropriate professional may be recommended.

  • If a client sees the Practitioner outside of sessions, they will not initiate contact to respect client privacy.

8. Website Use

  • The content on this website is for informational purposes only and should not be considered medical or psychological advice.

  • Unauthorised use of website materials, including copying or redistribution, is prohibited.

9. Jurisdiction and Applicable Law
